Purpose
The equipment is used to determine the abrasive wear resistance of composite stones i.e. unglazed tiles used for floor coverings.


Description
It consists of a steel disc made of Fe410-S as per IS 2062:1992. Abrasive material is held in a storage hopper with a nozzle Abrasive flow is regulated with the help of a valve.

The test specimen is held in a sample holder and is made to press against the rotating steel disc
with the help of known weights.

Consumable
White fused Aluminium Oxide of Grit No. 80 confirming to IS: 11643-1985

Calibration
The contact pressure between sample and disc can be calibrated. Calibration kit is supplied with the equipment.
