Purpose
The purpose of this machine is to conduct performance and life test of crankshaft bearings.

Test Configuration
Bearing under test is stationary and is radially loaded against a rotating shaft while lubricating oil under pressure is fed in.

Test load on sample is applied with feed back controlled pneumatic system.
Loading is pneumatic to eliminate the possibility of contamination of lubricant and hydraulic oil.

Heating and cooling by PID controller.
Automotive oil filter.
Indirect heating of lubricant through thermic fluid to avoid cracking.
Adjustable lubricant flow rate.
Safety inter-locks for flow failure, over heating, lubricants and thermic fluid levels.

Instrumentation and Data Acquistion System
On line recording of Oil inlet temperature, test load, frictional torque and RPM. Acquired data can be presented in several ways and printed. Results of different tests can be superimposed for comparative viewing. Data can be exported to other software.
