The Ducom TR 208 – Wear and friction monitor is used for characterization of tribological properties of materials in corrosive environments.

The Ducom TR 208 test instrument is specially designed to aid characterization of tribological properties in the ball/pin on Disk configuration, under corrosive environments. The test instrument has a facility to load a pin/ball on to a Disk. The Disk is mounted on an inverse motor. This design has proven compatibility with the corrosive fluids. Effect of the third body particles on accelerating wear is partially nullified. All the wetted parts are made of corrosion resistant materials.

The TR 208 Series comes with the WinDucom software for data acquisition and display of results. The system has capabilities to measure normal load, friction and compound wear. WinDucom software is used to present data in a variety of ways and CompariView.
