The Ducom TC 1200 – Thermal cycling furnace is used to subject samples to alternate heating and cooling cycles in order to study their thermal cyclic fatigue properties.

The TC 1200 test system consists of three sections. One section comprising of a furnace to heat samples to the set temperature and two sections for cooling the samples, in order to induce thermal fatigue. The movement of samples is jerk-free and in order to avoid failures due to mechanical causes.

This system is ideally suited for evaluation of a variety of coatings, including thermal barrier coatings.

The system has facilities to control number of cycles and duration of heating and cooling. Parameters such as dwell time and number of cycles are pre-settable.
