The Ducom TR 50 M – Stone abrasion tester is designed to evaluate the resistance to abrasion of stones used as building materials.

The Ducom TR 50 M uses three test specimens which are pressed against a 10” diameter lap rotating at 45 RPM. Load of 2 kgs plus dead weight of holder is applied on each specimen. Abrasive media is fed at a constant rate through the test. The instrument automatically stops after 225 revolutions.

The resistance to abrasion is calculated by measuring the initial and final weights of the samples.
