The Ducom TR 40 – Slurry Erosion Tester is designed to evaluate resistance of materials to slurry erosion.

The Ducom TR 40 has an arrangement to enable users to test material samples for their resistance to slurry erosion. This is done by immersing the samples in slurry of the desired composition and concentration and rotating the samples (rectangular in shape) about their axis. This leads to erosion of the samples and in turn loss of weight. The loss of weight of samples are evaluated and resistance to slurry erosion of the samples is determined.
This tester is available in single cup and six cup configurations. While the single cup option provides a cost effective tool for slurry erosion characterization, the six cup option provides a powerful ranking tool for evaluating up to 6 samples at a time for their slurry erosion characteristics.
