The Ducom Ring on Plate Wear Tester is designed to evaluate tribological properties of materials intended for biological implants.

The Ducom Ring on Plate Wear Tester facilitates the study of the biocompatible and bio-stable materials intended for implants for knee joints, hip joints and bone spacers. An alumina ceramic ring is compressed on the alumina plate at certain frequency in a lubricated condition. Wear loss on the alumina plate is measured and analyzed.
