RECIPROCATING FRICTION MONITOR (FRETTING WEAR TESTS) TR 281

The TR 281 Series – Reciprocating Friction Monitor is designed to characterize friction in a bidirectional reciprocating sliding motion.

The TR 281 Series – Reciprocating Friction Monitor is especially designed to study fretting wear characteristics of materials. A reciprocating engine is used to create a bidirectional sliding motion between the samples while a loading mechanism applies the desired load upon the test samples.

A friction measurement system allows for instantaneous friction force to be measured. Coefficient of friction is calculated and displayed on the WinDucom software. A variety of optional facilities are available with the TR 281 Series for characterization under a wide variety of conditions.

The TR 281 Series test instruments come with the WinDucom software for data acquisition and display of results. The system has facilities to measure friction and display coefficient of friction. WinDucom software is used to present data in a variety of ways and CompariView provides a powerful tool to view and compare
