The Ducom TR 470 is used to understand and characterize air jet erosion resistance of a variety of materials like metals, ceramics, coatings, etc… Erodent of required characteristics carried by a jet of air and impinged upon a sample under test. The velocity of particles, angle of impingement, flow rate and duration of the test are controlled.Facilities to conduct high temperature tests are also available (optional).

The erosion resistance of samples is determined using the loss of weight method.
